- Unlock Your Potential: Tackle the Trails with Online Mountain Bike Coachingby Nic JohnsonOnline mountain bike coaching, is it a thing? Can you learn to mountain bike online? Lots of clients have admitted to me that they have tried to learn to ride better through watching ‘how-to’ mountain bike You Tube clips and Instagram tutorials online. And then in the same breath, pretty much most clients will express frustration. After watching numerous online videos and reels, whether it is about how to ride a corner, or perform a specific skill, the messages are often conflicting and confusing. The end result is you can be left feeling overwhelmed by all the information, and unsure …

- A Cycling Adventure: Exploring Taiwan’s Hidden Gemsby Nic JohnsonThe first thing people ask about our cycle tour of Taiwan is: Why Taiwan? Well, it’s easy – Taiwan is a small country with diverse natural landscapes, great food, lovely people and is extremely bike-friendly. It’s so bike-friendly that cars slow down and hand food and drinks out the window, people shout encouragement from their scooters as they whizz past and the local police stations double as cycling rest stops complete with bike pumps, tools, toilets and a microwave to heat up your pot noodles. We flew to the capital, Taipei in early January – the middle of winter in …

- I went skiing for the first time and it was terrifying!by Nic JohnsonIt’s hard to imagine but at the age of 45 I went skiing for the very first time. How difficult can it be? Most sports have come to me pretty easily, so downhill skiiing won’t be much different right? I started with a two-hour private lesson with my amazing instructor Tom from Latvia. He asked what I wanted to learn, and of course I said ‘JUMPS!’ So, we trudged up to the learner slope to where the four-year-olds were. I listened like a sponge and tried to be the best student I could be. After the lesson I joined my …

Gareth and Leila King9 January 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Best lesson ever. Has really opened up mountain biking for me, as a beginner at age 55, and I'm having so much fun. Highly recommend. I had hesitated to book thinking I knew too little to benefit from a lesson, but getting a lesson at the complete beginning turns out to be the best possible thing I could have done. Anna Harnden-Taylor22 December 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nic knows her stuff, she helps break things down and helps to improve style and speed. Had a lesson with Nic and my new e mtb after two years away from mountain biking. Nic was kind, patient and I learns lot which has given me the confidence to get back out there having fun Sarah Reading5 November 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Awesome lesson, Nic provides great structured feedback and is an knowledgeable teacher, encouraging and sharing her love of the trails, some tweaks to the set up and it feels like riding a new bike! Thanks for helping get the 'mojo' back on track Jenn C5 November 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did Nic's introduction to corners last year which was great. I wanted to do a private lesson this year to get prepped for the summer season. It was awesome! She broke down what I needed to work on (a lot!) into chunks that are easy to digest, and sent a follow-up email to reinforce what we went through. It included gear and modifications that would help improve my ride. A few days after my lesson, I hit the trails and could do corners and bits of the trail I was struggling with before. Her sense of humour and personality is also awesome. Thanks Nic! :-) Richard Watson27 October 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Michelle and I had a great experience with Nic. We are very much looking forward to putting what she taught us into practice. She made the learning easy and fun 🤩 We wish we’d done this earlier and will definitely be booking again! It was a really fun session and we found lots for me to work on! I left the session feeling more confident in my riding and stoked to get out there. Just waiting for some good timing to book more sessions! Maarten Heetderks23 October 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nic is a fantastic coach who gave me a great training as a starting mountainbiker. With the skills she taught me during an accessible and still challenging training of only 3 hours my speed, confidence and fun has gone up! Would really recommend anyone who is into mountainbiking to have some time with Nic! LukeandMeg Cartmell-Gollan20 October 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nic ran a great group course on the fundamentals of cornering on a MTB. I am reasonably confident on the bike, but it was amazing how much i learned and how much technically i could improve on, from bike set up, to every aspect of the fundamentals ;) Nicola Houlding13 October 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Epic Intro to Dirt coaching session with Nic J - can't recommend this more. Need six stars!
