- Unlock Your Potential: Tackle the Trails with Online Mountain Bike Coachingby Nic JohnsonOnline mountain bike coaching, is it a thing? Can you learn to mountain bike online? Lots of clients have admitted to me that they have tried to learn to ride better through watching ‘how-to’ mountain bike You Tube clips and Instagram tutorials online. And then in the same breath, pretty much most clients will express frustration. After watching numerous online videos and reels, whether it is about how to ride a corner, or perform a specific skill, the messages are often conflicting and confusing. The end result is you can be left feeling overwhelmed by all the information, and unsure… Read more: Unlock Your Potential: Tackle the Trails with Online Mountain Bike Coaching
- A Cycling Adventure: Exploring Taiwan’s Hidden Gemsby Nic JohnsonThe first thing people ask about our cycle tour of Taiwan is: Why Taiwan? Well, it’s easy – Taiwan is a small country with diverse natural landscapes, great food, lovely people and is extremely bike-friendly. It’s so bike-friendly that cars slow down and hand food and drinks out the window, people shout encouragement from their scooters as they whizz past and the local police stations double as cycling rest stops complete with bike pumps, tools, toilets and a microwave to heat up your pot noodles. We flew to the capital, Taipei in early January – the middle of winter in… Read more: A Cycling Adventure: Exploring Taiwan’s Hidden Gems
- I went skiing for the first time and it was terrifying!by Nic JohnsonIt’s hard to imagine but at the age of 45 I went skiing for the very first time. How difficult can it be? Most sports have come to me pretty easily, so downhill skiiing won’t be much different right? I started with a two-hour private lesson with my amazing instructor Tom from Latvia. He asked what I wanted to learn, and of course I said ‘JUMPS!’ So, we trudged up to the learner slope to where the four-year-olds were. I listened like a sponge and tried to be the best student I could be. After the lesson I joined my… Read more: I went skiing for the first time and it was terrifying!

Did the intro to corners last weekend with Nic. Great course and awesome coaching. Love Nic's style of coaching, she takes videos to show how and where to improve which really helps. Can't wait to book in more lessons.Posted on Jo Lonsdale20 January 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I spend three hours with Nic and two others on her Intro to Corners course and it’s given me a huge boost of confidence in my riding. She focuses in on what needs to be adjusted so well and presents it in such an intuitive way (with some great visuals)! And she really makes sure to build new skills from the ground up, taking the time to strip everything back. Amazing coaching, hugely valuable, thank you Nic!Posted on Diane Richardson13 December 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely fantastic coaching session. I came away understanding soo much more and have changed from thinking I will never able to get better at mountain biking (esp corners) to now seeing that I can. And it was fun too. Thank you so much Nic.Posted on Richard Graham13 November 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nic's years of experience and keen eye for areas to improve made for a very valuable session. The use of video technology is very helpful to pinpoint issues to work on. Highly recommend.Posted on Gabrielle Nicholson11 October 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really enjoyed Nic’s Intro To Corners course. Learned lots and all of it can be easily remembered, because of the way she talks you through it and puts it into practise. Had lots of fun too! Thanks Nic. I’ll be back.Posted on claire lever11 October 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Awesome MTB skill session with Nic today. She gave great advice & tips about technique to improve skills. Took videos of our riding so we could see what we were doing re stance, lines etc which were really helpful to see. She gave really good advice about bike set up to help stability. Very patient & encouraging & a really lovely fun person. Will definately be back for more sessions after I’ve worked on what I’ve learned today. Thanks again NicPosted on Fleur Patterson11 October 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great coaching. I'm an almost 50 year old uncoordinated numoty who has no business on a MTB. After one session with Nic my cornering has improved, my body feels better and I managed a ride with my husband with no tears or yelling The lesson was fun and memorable. I will be booking again after some solo practice.Posted on Jenny Mikoz29 September 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great "intro to corners" lesson. Nic broke each step down, and as we repeatedly practiced each skill she provided individual feedback to each rider. It was an unpressured style of teaching that was appreciated.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
